Xoliswa Kakana

Executive Chair and Group CEO

Xoliswa Kakana, an electrical engineer by profession, founded ICT-Works in 1999 and serves as the company’s Chief Executive Officer, overseeing the company’s operations in South and Sub-Saharan Africa. She has more than 25 years’ experience in information and communication technology (ICT) and provides deep knowledge and understanding of the industry.

 Xoliswa holds a BSc in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics from the University of Transkei; a Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering from F.H. Giessen-Friedberg University, Germany; a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from Henley Management College, London; a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA), Technology Management and Innovation from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology; and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration (MPA) from Harvard University.

 As a determined, principled and visionary leader, Xoliswa actively contributes to the evolution of the industry. She participated in developing the Green and White Paper processes that led to the Telecommunications Act. She continues to drive the process of transformation in the sector through her involvement in the Women in ICT Forum, of which she is the founder and former chairperson.

Xoliswa’s industry expertise and knowledge continue strengthening ICT-Works’ position as a world-class technology provider. She forms a key part of the company’s business transformation journey and drive to achieve economies of skill that will enable future business growth.

Maggy Sibiya

Chief Operations Officer

Maggy Sibiya is the Group Chief Operations Officer and oversees the strategic operations of the company’s procedures in South and Sub-Saharan Africa. With more than 30 years’ experience in Information and Communication Technology (ICT). Her knowledge spans development, business analysis, project management, business operations and strategy development.

Maggy’s qualifications are: Master’s in Business Administration (MBA); BTech Degree in Information Technology; National Diploma in IT; Business Management Diploma; Project Management Diploma. GIBS Institute Executive Leadership Programme; Henley Business School Executive Coaching programme; Bachelor’s Degree in Theology (BTh).

Sindile Msibi

Managing Executive: Transport

Sindile Msibi is a Managing Executive for Transport at ICT Works and is responsible for Delivery and Business Development in South Africa and African markets.

Sindile has a wealth of experience within the ICT sector, having worked at local and international companies such as the Edcon Group, Accenture and Standard Bank. She spearheaded the implementation of two major projects in 11 countries across Africa. She has already secured the South African National Treasury and the Kenyan Finance Ministry as clients.

Sindile has several qualifications, including Programming and a Project Management Diploma.

Naglin Tuganadar

Chief Technology Officer

Naglin Tuganadar is the Chief Technology Officer responsible for the research and development and the running of the Technology Business Unit.

Naglin has extensive experience in the field of ICT. He has worked both locally and internationally. He has worked in various companies such as Dimension Data, British Gas (UK), Cetrel (Luxembourg), Safmarine, CFG (Courier Freight Group), as well as public sector enterprises SITA (State Information Technology Agency), National Treasury and Telkom.

Naglin holds a BSc Computer Science and Statistics degree from UNISA and an MSc Information Systems from Leeds Metropolitan University (UK).

Tony Huynh

Chief Operating Officer

Transport and is responsible for the Transport Business Unit at ICT Works. Tony has over 30 years experience in the Technology Industry, specialising in Transport for the last decade. Tony demonstrates extensive global experience, having worked in every continent throughout the world, he is an executive level manager with extensive experience in product development. Tony successfully leads large teams of software and hardware engineers in the Information Technology industry.

Tony has a proven track record in delivering large-scale projects across a broad spectrum of Technologies and platforms.
Tony demonstrates cross spectrum leadership and managerial experience in successful ‘setup’ and growth of ‘new development’ groups. He has a wide-ranging knowledge and understanding of the full product development lifecycle, from concept through to mass production, across a number of industries including transport.

Kudzai Sithole

General Manager Sales and Business Development

Kudzai Sithole is a seasoned business leader with over 18 years of experience in transport technology, public–private partnerships (PPPs), and integrated sales strategy. At ICT-Works, she drives business growth across Africa through strategic partnerships with governments, DFIs, and private sector stakeholders.

Her leadership has supported major initiatives such as AFC and APTMS implementations in South Africa, tolling system deployments in Nigeria, and the expansion of ICT-Works into tolling concessions and weighbridges using innovative BOT models. She also plays a key role in scaling Zala, ICT-Tel’s digital connectivity solution for underserved communities.

Kudzai is passionate about inclusive and sustainable infrastructure, championing technology that improves mobility, safety, and access. She is also an advocate for women and youth in STEM and leadership.

She holds a Master’s Degree in Business Leadership and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Sociology.

George Varden

Manager: Commercial

George Varden is ICT Works’ Commercial Manager and is responsible for the business’s overall commercial modelling, planning, and strategy review. With over 30 years’ experience, George’s core skills include strategy development, financial management, change leadership, business transformation as well as programme and project management.

George’s experience has been derived from working with several large corporates and delivering projects in a consulting capacity.

George is a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Management Accountant. His role is focused on ensuring that ICT Works maintains a consistent growth trajectory while circumventing barriers arising from a constantly changing market.

George Vaden

Manager: Commercial

George Varden is ICT Works’ Commercial Manager and is responsible for the business’s overall commercial modelling, planning, and strategy review. With over 30 years’ experience, George’s core skills include strategy development, financial management, change leadership, business transformation as well as programme and project management.

George’s experience has been derived from working with several large corporates and delivering projects in a consulting capacity.

George is a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Management Accountant. His role is focused on ensuring that ICT Works maintains a consistent growth trajectory while circumventing barriers arising from a constantly changing market.

Daria Park

Senior Manager: Transport

Daria Park has been with ICT Works since 2007. Daria fulfils the multidisciplinary role of Contractors Representative on the global award-winning Automatic Fare Collection system for the City of Cape Town. Daria is also responsible for Business Development and Sales within Transport.

Further to experience in the ERP and related technology space within Deloitte Consulting, Daria has had extensive business experience, commencing her career after completing her double BA (Hons) Psychology Degree from University College Dublin, Ireland in 1988.

Marius Walton

Senior Manager: Tolls

Marius Walton has over 20 years’ experience in all ITS and toll industry fields, and has served in various local and international companies’ management and board levels. His background is predominantly in toll systems design, supply, implementation and maintenance, as well as toll operations, project management, and contract management. Marius has successfully implemented toll systems and operations internationally in Africa, Europe and Asia. He also has experience in Intelligent Transport Systems, specifically national freeway management and operations.

At ICT-Works, Marius is responsible for developing the company’s toll business, with the aim of becoming the leading Toll Operator and Concessionaire in Africa.
